'VOICEMATES' by Anamika Mishra: Book Review

Hello guys! Hope you all are doing great and thanks for your visit!

The book, which I am going to review today on my blog is one of the best I have read so far. Though there is not much done by the author on the story, but still it somehow touched my heart. It may be because I could very well realte to my own life. Voicemates is a beautiful book, for which I can’t wait to share my experience with all of you.

Book: VOICEMATES

Author: Anamika Mishra

Price: Rs. 250/-

Where To Buy: Amazon

MAIN CHARACTERS:

TULIP: Tulip Hill is a daughter of one of the richest man in Goa. She lives in a lavish palace with all the facilities she desires. She is definitely a pampered child as she is the only child in the family but on the other hand, her parents have set a long list of rules and regulations. She is a born singer and wants to pursue her career in the same field but she dare not to utter this in front of her parents. She is very much scared of her parents but love them as well.

SAM: Sam is an orphanage. He is a born singer too but he doesn’t to persue his career in the same field for only fame. More than fame, he needs money. He is charming as far as his character is concerned. He acts maturely and is very focused to what he needs to get from life. His life is a struggle but still he never forgets to enjoy it.

My take on the book ‘VOICEMATES’: The book is written by Anamika Mishra. Tulip and Sam met at the fort when one evening Tulip was singing songs in front of the children. The story is about their journey towards the television talent hunt show, Voicemates.

Tulip is very much scared of her parents and only because of that she never thought to pursue her career as a singer. She wants to become the best international singer but her parents want her to study hard. She is no doubt a princess, when it comes to her lavish life. But she is not allowed to do anything without her parents’ permission.

On the other side of this book is a boy, Sam. He is handsome and charming. The maturity level in him is more than Tulip. They both met and decide to participate in the Voicemates contest. Without telling Tulip’s parents, they managed to clear 2 rounds of the show but then there is where the twist comes. They have to go to Golden Village for one week. For this, they had to tell her parents.

Everything happened as per they planned and finally they were there, at the Golden Village. The short romantic movements, which author included is truly amazing. And even right now, I am listening to a beautiful romantic song while writing this post. It has already added a cherry on the top.

Sorry for distracting you from the book review, but that is how it goes, right? Anyways, coming back to the book review, as I have mentioned above that everything was going perfectly well. It was the day of Grand Finale when Tulip finally thought to confess her love to Sam but to her surprise, Sam introduced her with his fiance, Ishi.

The book is a beautiful read and you will love the corners where author has inserted romantic lines and cheesy dialogues by the characters designed by her. I totally love and I really wish my love story to be a successful one and not like the one happened with Tulip.

Rating: 4.75/5

  1. Seems like a nice read :) However, as an avid book reader, I would suggest you describe the niche of the book and the characters rather than telling the whole story in review. It wouldn't be appealing to readers if they already know the end. I hope you take this as constructive criticism from a book lover :) All the best!
