Hey everyone! I really hope you all are doing great and thank you so very much for stopping by!

Holi 2021 will be an epic watch this year. Being an Indian, we all love celebrating every kind of festival but this time, it will be little different. Due to COVID-19, you will not be able to enjoy the festival of colors like you used to till the last year. But again, the ones who love to play Holi will find their way out. You can easily play Holi within your family members and close friends.

At this time, you need to take care of your skin. Post Holi, you can use these tips and tricks in order to get rid of those Holi colors from your skin.

Massage with coconut/olive oil

No matter how bad the texture of colors may be, applying coconut or olive oil always work best for those who wants to shed that awful color after playing Holi from your skin. It would be advisable for you apply little bit of this oil even before you step out to play Holi, this will add advantage in removing the color from your face and body. Apply you massage the skin with this oil, take a bath after 15-20 minutes with cold water and your skin is back to its original color.

Homemade face pack

Being a skincare junkie, I keep trying different types of face masks at home. One face mask that helped me a lot when it comes to removal of Holi colors is what I am going to talk about now. Take a glass bowl and dump all these ingredients into it: turmeric powder, honey, lemon drops, curd and a hint of olive oil. Mix all these ingredients well and apply on to your face. Keep it until dry and wash it off with cold water. Okay, you can thank me later! 💖

Lemon - the allrounder

If you are a lazy bug like me, then this tip is definitely for you. Take a lemon and cut it into half. This is easy, right? Next step is also comes under the easy-to-do umbrella. You just have to apply the lemon on to your face and rub it gently. Keep this going for good 5 minutes, but do not go harsh with your skin. Once you are done with this step, you can go ahead and wash your face using mild facewash. Your skin is back on track! You can repeat this tip twice a day according to your need.

Use cold water instead of hot water

This tip is being followed by many people around me. It has been observed that the Holi colors are easily removed if you use cold water rather than using hot water. We all are tend to use more of lukewarm water whenever we are doing any experiments with skincare, even I do that. But specifically for Holi colors, opt for cold water only.

Beer + lemon juice = great combination

In order to get results instantly, this remedy works just the best. Mix lemon juice and beer and apply it on your face. You can use this tip if you want to wash away the colors from your hair as well. If you are using entire tin of beer, just mix a spoon of lemon juice. Check out this remedy and you will be pleased to see the results.

Keep your skin moisturized

Now, this is something you must follow before getting ready to play Holi. Well moisturized skin does not allow the colors to stick on to your face. Plus, it acts as a shield, which helps in removing the colors pretty nicely and quickly. In addition to this, you skin does not feel itchiness or dryness afterwards. Also, after you are done with the celebrations of Holi, take a quick bath and apply good amount of moisturizer. You are good to go.

Use no harsh products

Excessive usage of chemical filled products can lead to dry and irritated skin. It is always good to use either naturally made products or mild ones. And do not overdo with the washing of your face and hair. This would help you regain your skin texture to the one you had before playing Holi. Even if you are using market products, make sure to opt for skin friendly products.
