Kala Drishti - An Art Heritage: Review

Hello world! It is so good to be back on my blog after so long.

I took a long break of almost 1.5 months. Phew, that is actually a lot of time. It feels devastated to live away from a thing, you love the most and I love always groomed my blog just like my baby. I guess that is enough for the emotional story now. I should jump on the topic I have prepared myself to discuss about on my blog today,

We all are aware about the fact that we love decorating our homes. It is but obvious that you should keep your surroundings happy and joyful. For that matter, we use numerous ways to decorate the rooms of our house. We are so inclined towards beautiful things that we can't help but buy them and place those in our living rooms, study rooms, actually the entire home.

Today, I am going to talk about a place, wherein you can surf and select the best pieces of art from their collection to decorate your home. I am talking about an NGO, named, Kala Drishti - An Art Heritage. Picture making, drawing and painting is as ancient as mankind itself. Man expressed himself by observing human forms, other living beings and objects around him, sketching them on walls, paper, and cloth and other surfaces.

Kala Drishti’s aim is to cultivate awareness and eye for an art. Kala Drishti presents art heritage collection conceptualized by ANJALI and RITIKA JAIN. It was in the beginning of the 19th Century that the contemporary Indian art was started by great artist like Raja Ravi Verma and the Bengal school of artist who won acclaims worldwide and whose work was held in great esteem. Yet, despite having world renowned artist whose work sell in Sotheby’s and other famous auctions. The visual art scene has yet to grow and find its right place in India .It has very few patrons and most of the people have yet to understand the so-called “modern art” which they think is just nonsense and buying art a waste of money. It is very difficult for the upcoming and promising artist to find recognition for their work. And also it’s for very few of them ,the rest go unsung and unrecognized.

”Kala Drishti” a trust formed by artists is aimed to promote upcoming and struggling artists so that they are able to achieve reasonable success in their field. They are also planning their own shops and outlets. They are determined to achieve the maximum and give the upcoming artist their rightful place in the sun. It organizes exhibitions, workshops, symposiums, buyer seller meets and also plans to have its own gallery, shops, schools art libraries and art cafes etc. at a later scale.

That was all for Kala Drishti. I would like to extend this post by showing you what they sent me. It was such a sweet gesture from their side and I can't keep calm, rather, let's have a look at the products.BEGUM PLATE: This begum plate is decorative meloware that comes with a stand (you will be able to see it in the pictures). Plate is inspired by medieval period of begum. Multi-colored & begum printed in the middle plate size is 7 inches and 10.5 inches in diameter.  This decorative and innovative item unveiled by the Kala Drishti to make your home beautiful and eye catchy. You can gift it to your loved ones on any occasion. It actually looks beautiful when you see it in person. The finishing is smooth and includes the best quality.

ANIMAL PRINTED MUG: And now comes this beauty! I have always been a fan of collecting mugs. I have no idea why it is like that but I own the love for mugs. Different patterns and prints just makes me feel happy in one way or the other. Here, the mug is been highlighted with an animal print. I could also notice few impressions of a leopard print on the mug. This mug can be used for various purposes like as a pen stand or makeup brushes stand or simply you can have coffee in it. Just imagine enjoying coffee in this mug on a rainy day by your room's window side and reading a romantic novel. That would be the perfect life.

ANIMAL PRINTED COASTERS: I guess you must have got an hint by now that I love sipping coffee. For summer season, I prefer having cold lemon water with a tint of honey in it. The coasters really help placing those mugs and glasses on the table. It does not damage your furniture. And when the coasters are made this beautifully, you tend to fall in love with your liquids you have on daily basis. Some of these coasters feature animal prints and some showcases tribal or abstract work of art.
