I’m starting this beautiful Monday by reviewing the movie, Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Being a Bollywood lover, I always try to watch all movies that turned up in theaters. Frankly speaking, I was not excited for this one. After watching Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, I didn’t have any expectations from this version at all. But I had to watch it, why? Read on to know more!
The movie started on a very fine note. All the characters of the movie played their respective roles very well. Let me talk about them in detail. Badrinath Bansal / Badri (Varun Dhawan) plays a role of a young boy from Jhansi. He is a son of a rich man in Jhansi. Badri is scared of his father the most but loves all his family members. Varun played the role really well. He has polished himself as a great actor, especially in the comedy genre.
The next person in the lead is the cutest dulhania Vaidehi Trivedi (Alia Bhatt). Alia is becoming perfect in her acting skills and I totally adore her in the movie. She looked cute in every outfit and avatar. Vaidehi is a career oriented girl who wants to do something for her family so that her family lives a lavish yet decent lives. The poor family includes 2 daughters only, for whom their father wants to get them married before he gets retired. There is yet an another twist to this story as you watch it.
My favorite character in the movie was Somdev Mishra (Sahil Vaid) who played a role of Badri’s best friend. As you all know we need at least one best friend in our life. Sahil played the role in full swing. From dialogue delivery to his body language, everything was just perfect. According to me, the people who play side roles wins the battle rather than the ones in lead. Somdev has been a great supporting system for Badri throughout the movie.
The most amazing presence in the film was of Aparshakti Khurana as Bhushan. I am a bit disappointed as there is no mention of this character online. But being his fan, I can’t close this post without explaining his role in the movie. He is playing a role of singer. There is a twist in here as always because you don’t know what type of singing I am talking about here. For that, go and watch the movie. Apar is looking super cute, adorable and an adarsh son in the movie but in reality, he is just the opposite.
Apart from these amazing actors, there is a talent who made a comeback in the industry. Badri’s Bhabhi’s role is being played by Shweta Basu Prasad. Her character’s name is Urmila Bansal. She is looking beautiful and gorgeous in the movie.
The entire movie is a fun comedy to watch with your family. Yes! It is indeed a family film. The movie gives a unique and important message through storyline, which you need to identify on your own. It will teach you how to love, how to be a friend of anyone, how to be with your family and most importantly, how to respect women.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and further, I highly recommend you all to go and watch this movie. Currently, I am in love with both Badri and Bhushan and I bet you will also fall in love with some of the characters. Badrinath Ki Dulhania is a beautiful movie with a beautiful message. Do not miss it guys!
