'A Tall Order' by Kapil Pathare: Book Review

Hello guys! I am back with another book review today.

I am really not a fan of Cricket but when it is covered inside a book, I don’t mind reading it. The living legends of Cricket have helped India to take few major decisions for the betterment of the same. Today’s post is all about Cricket. Today’s post is about the book, A TALL ORDER, which has been written by Kapil Pathare.

Starting off with the book review, let me talk about the cover of the book first. The book cover is very well designed, keeping in mind all the cricketers and most importantly, India. As you can see in the book cover that all the cricketers are wearing Indian jersey like as they always represent India while playing on the field. Moving further, this book is like an anthology for cricket lovers.



The author has portrayed each player in their best of times and in their bad times. As you see, while reading a reader should be provided with complete information about the personality the author is talking about. The book has covered 10 most amazing players India ever had. Be it from the 1990s era or the present, author has inculcated all the stars in this book. The books talks about the following players in detail:

• Sachin Tendulkar


• Anil  Kumble


• Sourav Ganguly


• Rahul Dravid


• VVS  Laxman


• Harbhajan Singh


• Virendra  Sehwag


• Zaheer Khan


• Yuvraj Singh


• MS Dhoni

The book will be a great addition to the book shelf of yours if you really keen on to know about these players. Being not a Cricket fan, I loved reading this book. Though I would have preferred much elaborated version of these amazing players but then I can understand that author does not want to bore the readers.

For me, Sourav Ganguly and M. S. Dhoni were the stories, which I loved reading about. The stories told by the author of other players are also good, no doubt but these 2 men won my heart. If you are person who just can’t live without Cricket, then you must grab this piece of writing in the form of a book.
