MONKEY BAR Restaurant (Vasant Kunj, New Delhi): Food Review + Surprise!

Hey people! Hope you all doing great and thanks for your visit! Let me start this post with a SURPRISE, read further.

Rocky & Mayur have ventured out to explore food from all parts of India and curate videos on Askme.com I'm contributing my part by relishing my favorite dishes at MONKEY BAR and sharing my views with you all!
You can also upload your video review on AskMe and stand a chance to meet Rocky and Mayur.

Let me start with the review now! But first let us have a look at this amazingly funky logo of MONKEY BAR restaurant.

So I visited Monkey Bar with my brother because he is a BIG foodie. As I entered the premises, I was really impressed with the ambiance and the way they have decorated their pyramid. You'll get to know why I called this bar as 'pyramid'; just look at the image below (the view from outside).

And now let me jump to the food we ordered! Firstly I thought to start my lunch with an amazing drink which was followed by the yummy food. I don't want this post to be long and lengthy so I'll review all the items one by one. Let's proceed!

MOBAR SPECIALS- MANGAA (SMIRNOFF, AAM PANNA, SWEET LIME, CUMIN & SALT)

Whenever I visit any restaurant, my corner of attraction is always drinks and liquids. So I couldn't resist myself from trying one here as well. And after a lot of discussion with my lovely brother, I decided to try Mangaa. It tastes really nice and the flavor of aam panna is 100% present. Somehow I felt it to be strong but at the end, taste was good and satisfactory. And look at the glass (above), this is really an impressive quantity to have.
Price: Rs. 300/-

For the food, the staff recommended us to try their Mo' Box and we immediately agreed on it. So the snacks arrived on our table.

MO' BOX:

Mo' Box is highly recommended for you because after this giant box you won't be able to eat anything. For 2-3 people, this is just a perfect happy meal box. Also you can enjoy some non-veg dishes as well if you are non-vegetarian. As I'm pure vegetarian, we opt for vegetarian Mo' Box. In this box you get 3 dishes with some extras as well.
Price: Vegetarian- Rs. 695/- | Non-Vegetarian- Rs. 895/-

In the Mo' Box, we ordered the following 3 dishes, let's have a look.

FLUTTERFLY:

Paneer and cheese cubes tossed with a mix of chilli, herbs, onions and ginger; stuffed in crisp shells. This was my favorite dish from all. I loved the way they have presented the dish in a form of butterfly shells; it looks amazingly cute, isn't it? I hate to eat 'paneer' but this flutterfly impressed me in a positive way.
Price: Rs. 250/-

CHILLI CHEESE DRAGONS:

Spring rolls filled with cream cheese and mozzarella, green chilli, capsicum, coriander and onion; served with roasted garlic chilli dip. If this dish had any cons, I won't mind at all because the dip is extremely yummy, chilli and delicious. The spring rolls are loaded with cheese and taste is good. But yes, you can't have more than 2-3 spring rolls because it is really filled with extra and more extra cheese.
Price: Rs. 240/-

LOADED NACHOS | CHICKEN:

Tortilla chips baked with molten cheese and beans and topped with fresh tomato jalapeno salsa avocado, sour cream and spring onion. This dish won my heart for its presentation. It looks so yummy, presentable and cute! All the vegetables sprinkled on this dish were fresh and I could literally feel the freshness. I'm not a fan of nachos at all and again Monkey Bar impressed me; I ate 80% of this plate and 20% by my brother, so you can imagine how much I loved the taste.
Price: Rs. 270/- | Rs. 290/-

And who doesn't like if you get extra treats? All these treats were consumed by my brother; almost 90%, phew.

Last but not the least, a desert! Although we both were full but I thought to provide my readers with a complete review and we managed to gulp in this yummy desert.

OLD MONK(EY) CHOCOLATE CAKE:

Caramel and praline! Just look at the presentation in the image above. I completely love the taste as it was a dark chocolate cake and my brother too loved the taste. I'd highly recommend you to try out this desert if you are a fan of eating darj chocolate stuff.
Price: 200/-

So, we tried all these yummy cuisines at the Monkey Bar restaurant. I was impressed with the service and presentation for sure. Let's see some pictures of the ambiance of the restaurant.

And now its time to have a look at the seating arrangement, menu cards, and all the fun stuff! The amazing part was it also have a little corner in the premises where you can play around and have fun with your kids, friends and family.

I have loads of fun trying out so many yummy cuisines at Monkey Bar and highly recommend you to visit this place with your family and friends and have lots of fun.
